I am a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher (Level 2), with over ten years of teaching experience. I developed an interest in yoga in 2005 whilst suffering from back pain and migraines. After trying many different kinds of therapy I found an Iyengar Yoga teacher in London, and regular practice immediately began to improve my health. This inspired me to learn more and begin my yoga journey and in 2007 I travelled to India to study with senior teachers Rajiv and Swati Chanchani.

I completed my Introductory Teacher Training in London in 2013, and recently gained my Junior Intermediate Level 1 certificate in 2018. I am currently working on gaining new knowledge and depth of understanding aligned with the Iyengar Yoga association’s new set of qualifications as set out in July 2020 and with the help of my mentor Alaric Newcombe.

My background is in Education and the Arts and I am also a trained primary school teacher, with an MA in Education and International Development. My passion for education has influenced my yoga practice and teaching a great deal and I believe that yoga is an excellent leveller. It is my humble opinion that Iyengar Yoga is a great tool for personal development for people of all ages and abilities regardless of background.
My teaching style is based on clear, simple instruction and the belief that yoga can be accessed by anyone and everyone. I enjoy working hard and strive for a better understanding amongst my students.
To experience one of my classes look at the Classes & Workshops page for dates and venues and come along to a drop-in class.
