Biography

Guy Brickley is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher (Junior Intermediate Level 1). He developed an interest in yoga in 2005 whilst suffering from back pain and migraines. After trying many different kinds of therapy he found Iyengar Yoga and it immediately improved his health.

He completed his Introductory Teacher Training in London in 2013, and recently gained his Junior Intermediate level 1 certificate in 2018. He is currently working towards Junior Intermediate Level 2 with his teacher Alaric Newcombe.

Guy’s background is in Education and the Arts and he is also a trained primary school teacher, and holds an MA in Education and International Development. His passion for education has influenced his yoga practice and teaching. Guy believes that Iyengar Yoga is a great tool for personal development for people of all ages.

His teaching style is based on clear, simple instruction and the belief that yoga can be accessed by anyone and everyone. He enjoys working hard and strives for a better understanding amongst his students. To experience one of Guy’s classes look at the home page for dates and venues and come along to a drop-in class.

Guy  teaches yoga in the tradition of B.K.S. Iyengar, who has developed an innovative approach to classical hatha yoga. Iyengar yoga emphasizes alignment while developing strength, stamina, flexibility and balance.
